Yes. Wenasoga VFD is concerned for your child's safety. So concerned that we have trained personnel that will install your safety seat free of charge. Our inspectors will help and show you the proper installation of a child safety seat, check for damage and ensure that the seat has not been recalled. This will provide you enough information for you to check for proper installation and how to correct it when something is wrong. Knowing how to install it, knowing what things to look for to ensure proper installation and knowing when to use a child safety seat, will help to protect your child. To become a member you'll need to come to one of our meetings on the second tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. or the last sunday of each month at 2:00 p.m.and get an application then it will be reviewed and you'll be notified for a personal interview.

We offer basic fire fighting and driver operator classes that are tought in house for W.F.D., we also offer you the chance to take E.M.T. at Northeast or any class at the state fire academy such as Rope Rescue and Confined Space Rescue which are a week long class at the academy in Jackson MS.

W.F.D. responds to fire and medical calls we are in the process of putting together a team of well trained firefighters to respond to rope rescue, and confined space calls throughtout the county. Wenasoga already has two rope rescue techs and two confined space techs and one rescue diver.
